1. Introduction

PDF Studios is a free online PDF tools website available at https://pdfstudios.in. It is operated by PDF Studios, based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. You can reach us by email at pdfstudios26@gmail.com.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and what rights you may have. By using PDF Studios, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Uploaded files: When you use tools that process files on our servers, the file is uploaded, processed, and automatically deleted. We do not keep a copy after processing.
  • Device and usage information: We collect general information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, approximate location (country/region), referring site, and pages viewed. This helps with security, analytics, and troubleshooting.
  • Feedback: If you use the feedback form, we store the rating, comment, and IP address you provide.
  • Contact information: If you email us at pdfstudios26@gmail.com, we keep your email address and message so we can reply.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.

We do not require you to create an account and we do not collect names, addresses, or payment information.

3. How we process uploaded files

Different PDF Studios tools work differently:

  • Client-side tools: Some tools, such as the PDF Editor and several conversion tools, process files directly in your browser using WebAssembly or other in-browser technologies. In these cases, the file does not leave your device.
  • Server-side tools: Tools such as OCR and Ghostscript-based operations upload your file to our servers for processing. The file is stored temporarily, processed, and automatically deleted within 24 hours. We do not retain, share, or use uploaded files for training, marketing, or any other purpose.

We recommend not uploading files that contain sensitive personal data, financial information, or confidential material that you are not authorised to share.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the PDF tools;
  • Improve the site and fix problems;
  • Show advertisements through Google AdSense;
  • Measure traffic and usage through analytics;
  • Respond to your emails and feedback;
  • Detect abuse, fraud, and security issues;
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Google AdSense and advertising

We use Google AdSense to display ads on pdfstudios.in. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to serve and measure ads based on your visit to PDF Studios and/or other sites.

You can learn more about how Google uses data when you use our site or app at How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps.

For more information and to opt out of personalised ads, visit Google Ads Settings, AboutAds.info, or Google’s Advertising Privacy & Technologies.

6. Third-party services we use

We rely on a limited set of third-party services:

  • Google AdSense — for advertising.
  • Google Analytics — for anonymous site usage statistics.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — to deliver the website and server-side PDF processing.

These providers may process data on our behalf, but only as needed to deliver the service. We do not allow them to use your uploaded files for their own purposes.

7. Data retention

  • Uploaded files: Deleted within 24 hours after processing is complete.
  • Feedback data: Retained until you ask us to delete it.
  • Usage data / analytics: Retained for up to 26 months, then aggregated or deleted.
  • Server logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging.
  • Cookies: As described in our Cookie Policy.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights such as the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information. For example:

  • If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you may have rights under the GDPR.
  • If you are in California, you may have rights under the CCPA.
  • If you are in India, you may have rights under the Information Technology Act and related rules.

To exercise any right, or to ask a question about your data, contact us at pdfstudios26@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, typically 30 days.

We do not currently have a designated Data Protection Officer. Privacy requests are handled by the operator at the email above.

9. International data transfers

PDF Studios is operated from India. Some of the third-party services we use, such as Google, may process data in other countries. We rely on the service providers’ own data transfer safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses and applicable certifications. If you use PDF Studios from outside India, your information may be transferred to, stored, or processed in India or other countries.

10. Data security

We use HTTPS/TLS for data in transit. Uploaded server-side files are stored temporarily and deleted automatically. We apply reasonable access controls and monitor for abuse. However, no internet service can guarantee complete security. Do not upload highly sensitive or confidential documents.

11. Children’s privacy and COPPA

PDF Studios is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if that is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws, we do not use interest-based advertising or remarketing to target past or current activity by users known to be under the age of 13, and we do not direct Google advertising at children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

If you have concerns that a child is in danger of or has been subject to abuse, exploitation, or trafficking, contact the police immediately. You may also report the behaviour to Google if it relates to our use of Google services.

12. Identifying users and PII

We do not intentionally pass any information to Google or other advertising partners that could be used or recognised as personally identifiable information, such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or uploaded file contents.

We do not use our services to identify users or merge personally identifiable information with information previously collected as non-personally identifiable information without robust notice and your prior opt-in consent. We do not attempt to disaggregate data that Google reports to us in aggregate.

13. Device and location data

We do not collect, process, or disclose precise geographic location data such as GPS, wifi, or cell-tower data for advertising or analytics. The approximate country/region we may see comes from your IP address and is used only for security and broad traffic analysis. If we ever change this practice, we will disclose it via an interstitial or just-in-time notice, obtain your express opt-in consent before collecting such data, transmit it encrypted, and update this policy.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated date will be shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the revised policy.
